Pioneer Agronomy: Illinois

Record Soybean Yields In Illinois

Episode Summary

Many farmers in Illinois have seen "tremendously good soybean yields" in 2024. Beans being harvested from the Z Series line are a part of that, and during this episode of the Illinois Agronomy Podcast, we get an update on harvest from agronomists around Illinois. While the dry weather has been good for beans, it's fueling some issues with charcoal rot and other corn diseases.

Episode Notes

Some areas of the state saw some good rainfall associated with Hurricane Helene, but in other parts of the state, some farmers might go the entire month of October with no additional moisture.
